La Suerte Garnacha 2020

I tasted two vintages from their entry-level Garnacha from Gredos, of which the 2020 La Suerte de Arrayán was riper at 15.5% alcohol; however, the wine feels fresher and less evolved, and the alcohol is well disguised. It's a village wine from El Real de San Vicente at 750 meters in altitude on sandy granite soils, with old vines that are worked organically (but not certified). It fermented with 30% full clusters in stainless steel and matured in 300- and 500-liter barrels and a 4,300-liter oak vat for one year. It's perfumed and floral, with very good freshness, nice texture and fine tannins. 5,500 bottles and 103 magnums produced. It was bottled in September 2021.
