The 2025 El Castro de Valtuille Mencía was harvested earlier and had a short maceration. This wine is from all the estate old vines, some 300 plots. It fermented destemmed in stainless steel, was pressed after 12 days and then was kept in stainless steel and bottled unoaked. It has notes of dark berry fruit and herbs that are aromatic and showy. It is juicy, approachable and drinkable, with 13.3% alcohol, a pH of 3.76 and 4.77 grams of acidity. 120,000 bottles produced. It's a bottling from January 2026, as they had to sell it earlier given the shorter crop in 2024.
