The 2024 Mauro smells concentrated, with violets, cassis and graphite. It's showy, open, expressive and forward, captivating and nuanced. It's 80% Tempranillo and the rest Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Graciano from vines averaging 25 years of age in Tudela de Duero and Traspinedo on limestone soils, which are worked organically and biodynamically, but the wines are not certified. The destemmed grapes fermented in stainless steel with indigenous yeasts, and the wine matured in foudres and barriques for 16 months. It's creamy, juicy, ripe and extroverted, with 14.5% alcohol, a pH of 3.6, medium-bodied and has abundant, fine-grained tannins. The Mauro people are expecting. 300,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in April 2026.
