Vetus 2023

2023 / 93 puntos

The 2023 Vetus is dark and has notes of black fruit, graphite and coal, with a spicy twist. It's ripe and powerful but also balanced. It has fine-grained tannins and a chalky texture. From different vineyards and a year with higher yields and more acidity than 2022, it's concentrated and ripe at 14.92% alcohol, with a pH of 3.68 and 5.97 grams of acidity. It matured in barrels, one-third new, for 14 months. 20,472 bottles and some larger formats produced. It was bottled in June 2025.
