The single-vineyard wines are going to be released later on, so I'll taste them next year. In the meantime, they have produced the 2021 Dos Fincas, a new blend from their two best plots, both on sandy soils. It's fine-boned and wonderfully balanced, with very fine tannins and a subtle chalky sensation. It fermented with indigenous yeasts in 5,000-liter oak vats and matured in French oak barrels, 15% of them new, for 13 months. After that, the two wines were blended and put into second-use barrels to complete an élevage of 22 months. It has 14.5% alcohol, a pH of 3.68 and 4.95 grams of acidity and is powerful but harmonious and elegant beyond what the parameters might suggest. The tannins are very elegant and the mouthfeel velvety, finishing without any edges. Delicious! 2,997 bottles were filled in December 2023.
