The 2021 Rapolao comes from a plot in Rapolao that he purchased in the lieu-dit of the village of Valtuille de Abajo that has a significant percentage of Bastardo at the top of the vineyard. It fermented with some destemmed grapes and part of full clusters in a 2,000-liter oak vat and matured in a 1,000-liter oak, foudre. It has a note of toasted sesame seeds, a little bit à la Bourgogne, and is still a little marked by the élevage. The tannins are very fine, elegant and ripe.
