The 2015 Congo is a selection of the best Garnacha bunches from an old vineyard in the village of Real de San Vicente on granite soils, from the same plants of one of the vineyards that produce Tres Patas. They have only produced 2007 and 2009 before, because the work to harvest individual bunches is too much. This matured in a French oak foudre that has the equivalent of ten Burgundy barrels, so 2,280 liters, where it ages for some 18-20 months. It has sweet fruit and the austerity of the granite soils. This should benefit from some more time in bottle. Some 3,000 bottles produced.
