Tres Patas 2022

The Garnacha 2022 Tres Patas was produced with the grapes from five old vineyards in the village of El Real de San Vicente on granite soils surrounded by juniper and oak trees. It fermented with 100% full clusters in 500- and 600-liter barrels where the wine matured for around one year. It's heady and ripe, reflecting a warm year, with notes of cherries in liqueur and baked apples. It has 14.5% alcohol and good acidity, 5.8 grams (measured in tartaric acid per liter of wine). It's juicy and a little rustic, with slightly dusty tannins, more Châteauneuf. It will be better with food. 17,400 bottles produced. It was bottled in October 2023.
